Bayer CEO lays out departure plans
- Marijn Dekkers will leave his job as CEO of Bayer by December 2016.
- He has been in his current position since early 2010.
- Dekkers says he is leaving to "spend more time with his family."
Dekkers made it clear in a statement that he independently chose to leave within the next two years, as opposed to pursuing another five-year contract. In order to ensure continuity, Werner Baumann has been named the new chief strategy and portfolio officer.
