Regarding the acquisition, Tom Price, chief executive officer at Quintiles, said, “Today’s announcement signifies the increasing importance of leveraging EHR and real-world information to inform our customers and improve their probability of success.” According to information from healthit.gov, 75% of providers report that their EHR allows them to deliver better overall care. EHRs can also reduce errors and improve patient safety and support.
