Patient Education Network (PEN) Digital Network Announces Nationwide Campaign Partnership With Community Oncology Alliance
Strategic Partnership Will Distribute Educational Patient Advocacy Campaign Content to Oncology Practices Across Country
The Patient Education Network (PEN), the leading point of care digital network for oncology practices, and the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), the only non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for community oncology practices and the patients they serve, today announced a new strategic partnership. The partnership will utilize the PEN digital network to distribute content for COA’s “I Am Community Oncology” patient advocacy campaign alongside the PEN’s patient education and engagement solutions to community oncology practices across the country.
COA and the PEN are collaborating to address the increasing challenges community oncology practices face and the patients they serve. As the only point of care digital network focused on/dedicated exclusively to oncology, the PEN empowers oncology practices to enhance patient-physician communication enabling increased patient satisfaction and quality of care. Since the PEN, and access to the “I Am Community Oncology” campaign, will be promoted to community oncology practices nationwide, the end result of the partnership will be a powerful communication, advocacy and educational tool for community oncology practices to utilize in providing the best care possible.
Steve Irwin, CEO of Frontside 10, the operator of the PEN, commented “with the PEN we are continually striving to increase awareness at the point of care through our custom solutions and educational content. The PEN partnership with COA accelerates these opportunities for patients to be as informed as possible and represents a dynamic platform for increased patient-physician interaction. We are pleased to help promote patient advocacy and look forward to expanding our network with the leader in community oncology advocacy, COA.”
“With this partnership with PEN, COA will be able to reach and educate more patients on the issues that affect their cancer care,” said Nick Ferreyros, director of communications at COA. “Through the I Am Community Oncology campaign, and the screens in community oncology practice waiting rooms across the country, we are building an educated, engaged, grassroots army of patient advocates.”
