Use of real-world evidence (RWE), which is the clinical evidence derived from analysis of real-world data (RWD), has been increasing in recent years as regulators and healthcare payers have grappled with understanding how therapeutics, drugs and medical devices perform in a real-world setting. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) have issued support and frameworks for advancing the use of RWE to improve regulatory decisions. But RWE has applications beyond regulatory decision making, including:

  • Marketing applications of real-world evidence and real-world data
  • Building greater efficiency into data collection and analysis
  • Developing a greater understanding of drug utilization by region

This webinar will discuss the use of global physician networks to generate real-world evidence, look at uses for RWD, with a focus on post-marketing utilization, and the benefits of certain types of functionality that can lead to greater insights, flexibility, efficiencies and cost-savings.
