New York, New York, May 10, 2021: Life science recruitment agency, EPM Scientific, is launching their global 2021 Job Confidence Index Report. The index aims to measure the pulse of confidence in the current life sciences labor market, professionals’ outlook in the rapidly evolving economy, and key themes driving the future of work.
Last year, the global report gathered critical views and data from over 380 specialist sector professionals within life sciences from Europe and North America. Key findings from the survey highlighted a relatively negative outlook on economic expectations within the talent community. A little over half (56%) of US life sciences professionals predicted a worsening economy over the next twelve months; a pessimistic calibre that was also replicated across Europe with 63% of respondents agreeing.
On the flip side of the coin, despite the cloud of uncertainty in the economy, life sciences professionals were confident in their job security. 50% of US respondents and 59% of European respondents felt confident in keeping their jobs, despite the majority who predicted a worsening economy in 2021.
What can be said for this year then - has confidence in the talent market changed? We are currently gathering input from life sciences professionals, for the 2021 Job Confidence Index: Click here to take the quick survey and have your say.
