Dive Insight:
Lilly is on a roll as it joins other biopharma neighbors at 450 Kendall, including Compass Therapeutics and Semma Therapeuics. As the largest tenant in this building, located in the red-hot center of the growing cluster of biotech and pharma companies, Lilly is focusing on drug-delivery systems, which is largely related to the fact that more than half of its drugs-in-development are biologics.
Lilly's Kendall Square location will serve as a place to foster external partnerships and collaborations, and will become part of a productive R&D network, which also includes locations in San Diego, New York City, and Indianapolis.
